This evening's lecture and next week's movie marathon postponed

Because of the uncertainty of the weather and how much snow will be accumulating this evening, we are re-scheduling tonight's lecture for one week until next Sunday, February 15 at 7:30.

The movie marathon which had been scheduled for next Sunday is being moved forward one week until Sunday, February 22. You will receive a separate notification from David Krigman about this.

We look forward to seeing you next Sunday (same program as previously announced, same location, same time).

Shir Hadash is an inclusive and egalitarian havurah (an informal, cooperative congregation) affiliated with the Jewish Reconstructionist Communities. Our members include about 60 households and represent widely diverse backgrounds and points of view. For more than 25 years we have grown in our knowledge and understanding of Judaism.

We have shaped a warm, caring community for members of all ages. We invite you to get acquainted. We meet weekly for Shabbat and holidays from September through June, usually in the Social Hall of the Lutheran Church of the Newtons in Newton Centre. Our services include a variety of formats: breakfast-study sessions, rabbi led, member led and Friday night potlucks. Please consult our calendar.

Shir Hadash looks forward to our second year with Rabbi Rachel Dvash Schoenfeld as our rabbi. We are also excited to engage a cantorial intern, Sarah Bolts. See our rabbi/cantorial intern page.
