Local Hebrew Schools

Shir Hadash welcomes families with children. While we do not offer Hebrew school directly, we are delighted to provide information about local independent Hebrew schools, open to children from any (or no) congregation.

BJEP (Boston-Area Jewish Education Program)

Located on the Brandeis campus, classes are taught by passionate and knowledgeable university undergraduates actively participating in Jewish life. Experiential learning and Jewish arts and culture are central to the program. BJEP is organized and funded by the parents of students enrolled in the school and is governed by a volunteer parent board of directors. As this is a coop, parents commit to taking a job to keep tuition lower.
