Shir Hadash High Holidays Calendar - September, 2010, Tishri 5771

Shir Hadash conducts egalitarian, highly participatory High Holiday services led by Rabbi Audrey Marcus-Berkman and our members. Please join us on Rosh Hashanah eve, the two days of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur eve (Kol Nidre) and Yom Kippur day.

Childcare for children ages 3 and up will be available during each morning service of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. There will not be childcare erev Rosh Hashanah, erev Yom Kippur or for the afternoon/evening service of Yom Kippur. Please note that Kashrut must be observed.

September 4 Selichot - We will join Temple Shalom and our two sister Reconstructionist congregations for a Selichot observance, led by the rabbis of the four congregations.

Directions to 60 Stein Circle (from Route 128/95)

  1. Take Route 9 East to Parker Street exit (sign says Newton Centre/West Roxbury).
  2. Go up ramp and turn right onto Parker Street (away from Newton Centre) until the end.
  3. Turn left onto Dedham Street.
  4. Go through two sets of lights, pass Mount Ida College on your right.
  5. Turn right onto Wiswall Road (watch for SSDS directional signs).
  6. Turn left onto McCarthy Street.
  7. Go to the end and turn right onto Sawmill Brook Parkway.
  8. Continue three blocks. Turn right onto Stein Circle.
  9. Building will be straight ahead.
