PURIM! March 19th
Joint Celebration With Hillel B'nai Torah
120 Corey St. in West Roxbury
We will celebrate Purim jointly with Hillel B'nai Torah at their synagogue on Saturday, March 19. HBT is at 120 Corey St. in West Roxbury.
The schedule is as follows. Havurah members will be prominent in the megillah reading and shpiel.
7 to 8:30 p.m. Megillah reading, costume parade and singing Reading the Purim story in English with some verses chanted in Hebrew, complete with graggers and silliness.
8:30 p.m. Hamantashen & drinks in the kiddush room
9 to 10 p.m. "Rocky Horror Purim Shpiel" in the social hall
Costumes are encouraged, especially on the theme of Shushan Night Fever. As HBT's newsletter urges, "In recognition that we are in the year 5771, wear your best 70's costume!"

Dr. Peter Haas, Abba Hillel Silver Professor of Jewish Studies at Case Western Reserve University, will be giving a talk on recent developments in the Middle East. He will be exploring how the battle of identity and legitimacy in various Arab countries and Israel influences the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Because of the timeliness of the topic we expect this to be a popular event, so please RSVP asap (by email or phone 617-522-5918) so we can plan accordingly. (We may need people to bring additional chairs if the crowd gets large).
