Successful Newton Mayoral
Accountability Night
About 15 of our members joined some 500 other people at an intercongregational meeting with the two remaining candidates for Mayor of Newton in October. The meeting was successful in showing our strength when we act on a common program, and that both candidates agreed fully with the five issues presented to them. The meeting was organized by GBIO, the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, which is setting up a similar meeting with the Senate candidates for Ted Kennedy’s seat on Nov.15, described on page 1.
