New Course, Cooperative Service

1) In March, I will be offering the first two sessions of a three-session evening course on "Modern and Contemporary Jewish Thought: Israel." We will discuss the writings of thinkers such as Martin Buber, Rav Kook, David Hartman, Amos Oz, and Ari Elon about the many blessings and challenges of the Jewish state. This course will not focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but will address theological, philosophical, and cultural issues and perspectives surrounding the creation and existence of Israel.

The class will meet on the following dates:

Location TBD. If you are willing and able to offer your home as a location for one or more class sessions, please contact me as soon as possible.

Please do let me know if you are planning to attend one or more sessions, so that I can have a general sense of how many will be attending.
